ABOUT COURSE

BBA in Mass Media Management is a course designed for media enthusiast who wish to seek a career in Journalism, Television, Newspapers, Films & Radio, Public Relations, Advertising, etc. and are taught about the other potential streams of Media Management, blended with Business Administration exposure. The course provides an in-depth understanding of the Worldwide Media. The module is coupled with insights from industry professionals, practical learning and improving media literacy. The course structure is curated and geared towards creating professionals for the Indian Media and Entertainment industry.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVE

To develop knowledge, skills and competence that prepares students for future careers in mass media or advanced study.

Students will be able to write for different media platforms, including news stories, press releases, and advertising copy, following accepted journalistic standards.

Students will be able to conceptualize, design, and produce projects for media platforms

To develop critical thinking, effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to deliver professionalism

An improved sense of self-confidence and self-efficacy and an awareness of their responsibilities as professionals in their field

Applicants indicate their preferences for the specialization at the time of application in the application form BBA(MMM). In the first year, however, the student study the common course work for BBA and as an excellence partner, ISC provides additional training inputs exclusive to Mass Media Students only. During the first-year, student will be helped to understand weather they are inclined towards Journalism, Advertising &Public Relations or Radio, Television and Films, the expert committee will further evaluate the student’s performance and decide on the selection. The selection decision is based on the student’s study success during the first year and on the student’s motivation and suitability for studies in the specialization area. Interview/viva may also be conducted to determine student’s suitability for the chosen field. For the next two years then the students work on their specialization, where they are given ample opportunities to polish their skills and gain enough knowledge of the field so that they have an edge over others in the industry when they graduate as Mass Media professionals. BBA(MMM) students are given internship and placement opportunities right from the second year ,though final placements take place in the third year.
